Participation is free of charge.
-Competition is open to all Malaysian students aged between 13 – 15 years old in 2018.
-Your team must consist of 3 students and one teacher from the same school.
-Each student can only join ONE (1) team.
-Each team are allowed to submit one best video.
-Each member of the team must appear in the video.
-School can send as many teams to participate.
-The composition of “1 Malaysia” team members is highly recommended.
-The closing date to submit your video is April 9, 2018.
-Any video submitted after this deadline will be disqualified.
-Video must be three (3) minutes maximum of running time.
-Video must be in English.
-Video resolution needs to be 720p: 1280x720., with clear sounds and voices, in .MP4 formats.
-Members should be properly dressed and should not use foul language in the video.
-Video must not contain any sensitive issues pertaining gender, ethnicity, and religion, use of vulgar words, inappropriate behaviour or any other subjects deemed inappropriate by the organisers.
-Video must be original work and has not been submitted for production elsewhere.
-Copyright materials (e.g. music, song) must not be used in the video.
-Download the consent form by click here to DOWNLOAD! and upload the completed form using the online form.
-Mentor/teacher must approve the video and sign the consent form.
-Teams who fail to submit the consent form and/or submit incomplete form will be disqualified.
Mentoring camp & 7th APT JSO:
-The date and venue of the mentoring camp will be determined by Academy of Sciences Malaysia.
-Traveling cost for selected teams to attend the mentoring camp and the 7th APT JSO will be borne by ASM.
-Selected teams must provide health information (e.g. allergies, etc) to the ASM secretariat before travel.
-Participants experiencing health problems or who have met with accidents during the camp or competition can claim their medical bills by submitting original bills to the ASM secretariat
-All claims must be proofed by original receipt.
-Exchange of team members are not allowed.
-In the event the selected team is unable to attend the competition, the next team in line will be replaced to represent Malaysia at the 7th APT JSO.
-Each participant will receive a certificate of participation.
-The top 4 teams will receive a certificate of participation and achievement
