Future Housing in Malaysian Cities

"Housing is a catalyst for socio-economic development and poverty reduction that cuts across almost every other indicator for human development. Access to adequate and affordable housing prevents injury, disease and premature death; increases household and national income; and provides socio-political stability" (UN, 2011).

There is a need to build houses that are suitable for Malaysia's climate as well as taking into consideration the need to mitigate natural disasters such as floods. As well as controlling the rising costs of housing construction.
