The Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) proudly presents the Minggu Sains Negara, a nationwide celebration of science from 15 July – 15 August 2019.

The 2019 Minggu Sains Negara (2019 MSN) is themed ‘Science for Wellbeing”. YAB Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad launched the 2019 MSN on 1 April 2019 at Pusat Sains Negara. With the launching 2019 MSN is scheduled to be held in two phases as below:
1-7 April 2019 - Wilayah Persekutuan, Terengganu, Sabah dan Sarawak
15 July – 15 August 2019 - Perlis, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Selangor, Kelantan, Pahang, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan dan Johor.

The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) and the Johor State Government is honoured to organise the 2019 MSN for the state of Johor.
Various activities is being planned and will be organised. Here are a sneak preview on the planned activities:

Science Carnival

A two day science carnival is open to public from 3-4 August 2019 from 8am -6pm at the Dewan Orang Ramai Parit Raja, Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, Johor.

The carnival is open for general public especially for students and young adult. You will find interesting activities to participate and win some cool prizes too!

Some of the planned activities are:

  • Kuiz Kahoot!
  • Weather Forecaster competition
  • Crime Scene Investigation competition
  • Exhibitions
  • Science demos
  • Talks
