He holds a PhD (Biochemistry) and DIC from the University of London and Imperial College of Science and Technology, England, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Koh is the acknowledged doyen of genetics, molecular biology (including genetic engineering), and modern biotechnology in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region. In 1993, he was the first scientist in Malaysia to provide DNA typing service for human identification and parentage testing. In 2000, he was a member of the team that discovered Malaysian Island flying foxes as the natural animal reservoir of the Nipah virus. He had 48 years of eminent academic record at universities and research institutes in Malaysia, Singapore, England, Germany, Japan, and the US. In the last seven years, he served in the private sector. Currently, he is a freelance DNA, ageing, and nutrigenomics consultant, actively promoting wellness and preventive healthcare to delay ageing and extend healthspan. He is a passionate science communicator.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Koh has a special interest in Gac fruit and its products.
