Like most developing and developed countries, STI growth begins with a strong education system. Over the years, Malaysia has put tremendous efforts to accomplish a developed nation\u2019s vision and mission. However, despite numerous policies and interventions that have been implemented by the government to improve STEM education, we are still behind.<\/p>\n<p>To find the cause, ASM established a Task Force on Science Education. It comprises experts from various education and profession backgrounds. With a mission to find loopholes, make room for improvements, solutions, and recommendations. The study\u2019s outcome will be presented to relevant stakeholders to streamline efforts in enhancing STEM Education in Malaysia through a position paper.<\/p>\n<p>The Task Force also discussed issues pertaining to STEM talents, enrolment, and education in Malaysia. More input was gathered through engagements involving several key players in STEM education, namely:<\/p>\n<p>1. Ministry of Education<\/p>\n<p>2. National STEM Association<\/p>\n<p>3. Young Scientists Network-ASM (YSN-ASM)<\/p>\n<p>4. National Science Centre<\/p>\n<p>5. Education Performance and Delivery Unit (PADU)<\/p>\n<p>6. Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru Nasional (PIBGN)<\/p>\n<p>7. MARA Junior Science College<\/p>\n<p>8. Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) 9. Planetarium Negara<\/p>\n<p>10.
