The establishment of MSE is necessary to support new STI institutional governance. Funds will be disbursed through the Research Management Unit (RMU), MRANTI or strategic delivery partners in identified priority areas.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, MSE promotes and forges international partnerships for RDCI with regional, international, and multilateral funding programmes for STI across the globe. These partnerships would attract fund to tackle complex socio-economic and environmental challenges that Malaysia faces as well as based on the nation\u2019s priority areas.<\/p>\n<p>The establishment of MSE is one of the 10 \u201cLeapfrogging Programmes\u201d under the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy (NPSTI) 2021-2030.
