The motion to repurpose Kumpulan Wang Amanah – Majlis Sains dan Penyelidikan Kebangsaan (KWA-MSPK) to Kumpulan Wang Amanah – Malaysian Science Endowment (KWA-MSE) was passed in the Parliament on 4 August 2022, signifying the creation of MSE and bringing ASM one step closer towards fulfilling the role of the \u201cThink and Do Tank\u201d.<\/p>\n

Sustainable alternative financing Industrial and international collaborations Talent Development <\/div><\/div>\n\n This year, ASM received a courtesy visit from AT&S, an Austrian company that designs and manufactures high-end printed circuit boards and integrated circuit (IC) substrates. AT&S had an engagement with ASM to discuss the possible prospects and challenges in the STI development, with plans of setting up a new production facility in Kulim Kedah. In return, ASM extended an invitation to collaborate with AT&S as it concurrently corresponds with our 10-10 My<\/i>STIE framework, ensuring Malaysia to become a High Tech Nation by 2030.<\/p>\n The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), a multilateral development bank, aspires to establish a halal vaccine ecosystem that will benefit its member countries. To position Malaysia as the creator of \u201csustainable halal vaccine ecosystem\u201d, ASM is working on seizing the opportunity offered by IsDB through collaboration with the Malaysia Genome and Vaccine Institute (MGVI), pharmaceutical companies and other agencies. The pandemic has highlighted the need to focus on R&D, particularly in the emergence of zoonotic diseases.
