March 19, 2026ASM continues to engage with its key stakeholders by providing evidence-based insights to support policymaking.
On 10 February 2026, ASM hosted a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Pahang State Government, led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment, Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Dato’ Mohamad Nizar Dato’ Sri Mohamad Najib.
The visit was also attended by Dr Sharmila Mohamed Salleh, CEO of Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM).
During the engagement, YB Dato’ Mohamad Nizar highlighted the State Government’s commitment to exploring collaborative initiatives with ASM and YIM to strengthen Pahang’s science, technology, innovation and economy (STIE) ecosystem.
In response, ASM CEO Puan Hazami Habib reaffirmed ASM’s commitment to providing strategic perspectives and evidence-based recommendations to support the formulation and implementation of sustainable, high-impact state development policies and initiatives, especially in STEM talent development and sustainability.
The visit exemplifies ASM’s ongoing efforts to foster collaborative ecosystems that bridge scientific expertise with state-level planning.
By engaging with government partners and innovation agencies, ASM aims to ensure that policymaking is informed by rigorous research and aligned with Malaysia’s broader STI and economic development objectives.
