
MOSTI Deputy Sec-Gen Meets Malaysian Participants of Lindau & CERN Programmes
December 18, 2025On 28 November 2025, ASM celebrated Hari Integriti Nasional, held in conjunction with the annual observance of Sambutan Bulan Integriti Nasional (SBIN) each November.
In her address, ASM CEO Puan Hazami Habib emphasised that integrity is not limited to issues of corruption. It also encompasses the ASM staff’s responsibility for managing and safeguarding data.
She stressed that every study conducted must be based on accurate data and sound analysis to avoid confusion or misinterpretation. She also highlighted that in today’s digital era, protecting confidential data must be a priority to prevent misuse.
A cybersecurity talk titled “Pemerkasaan Integriti dalam Pengurusan Data dan Keselamatan Siber” was delivered by the Head of the Technology Research and Strategy Department of CyberSecurity Malaysia, Mr Rushidan Ghazali.
He explained that data access has become easier than ever, but at the same time, cyber threats are growing more complex.
With rapid technological advancements, including artificial intelligence (AI), cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated and capable of breaching systems faster.
In fact, the Global Risks 2026 report predicts that cybersecurity will emerge as one of the most critical global risks, underscoring the need for every individual to be more vigilant and responsible in managing and sharing data.
