{"id":5434,"date":"2023-10-16T14:40:57","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T06:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.akademisains.gov.my\/asm-focus\/?p=5434"},"modified":"2023-12-12T14:50:19","modified_gmt":"2023-12-12T06:50:19","slug":"enhancing-mental-well-being-at-the-workplace-an-insightful-lecture-on-emotional-awareness-and-self-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.akademisains.gov.my\/asm-focus\/enhancing-mental-well-being-at-the-workplace-an-insightful-lecture-on-emotional-awareness-and-self-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Enhancing Mental Well-being at the Workplace: An Insightful Lecture on Emotional Awareness and Self-Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In an effort to prioritise the mental health of the ASM staff members, the Human Resource Management Unit (UPSM-ASM) organised a session centred around the topic <em>Mental Sihat: Emotional Awareness and Love Yourself<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Held on 8 September 2023, the session aims to impart knowledge on various aspects of mental health care and underscore their significance among ASM staff members.<\/p>\n<p>To facilitate this insightful discourse, the UPSM-ASM has invited Ms Siti Hajar Binti Ahamad Mashat, a Counselling Psychology Officer at the Family Medicine Specialist Unit of <a href=\"https:\/\/jknkl.moh.gov.my\/index.php\/klinik-kesihatan-tanglin\">Klinik Kesihatan Tanglin<\/a>. Pn Siti Hajar is an expert in the field and is well-equipped to address the nuances of mental health.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of the proposed lecture are twofold:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide insights into the different facets of mental health care and emphasising their importance.<\/li>\n<li>To strengthen awareness regarding the prevention and early detection of mental illnesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mental health is an integral component of overall well-being, and in a professional setting like ASM, acknowledging its significance becomes paramount. The lecture empowered staff members with knowledge and strategies for maintaining positive mental health, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more resilient workforce.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Siti Hajar&#8217;s expertise as a psychology officer specialising in family medicine aligns perfectly with the objectives of the lecture. Her insights into emotional awareness and self-love will provide ASM staff with valuable tools to navigate the challenges of daily life while prioritising mental health.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture covered a spectrum of topics, including understanding emotional well-being, recognizing signs of mental health challenges, and practical approaches to self-love and self-care.<\/p>\n<p>The session offered a unique opportunity to enhance ASM staff members\u2019 understanding of mental health.
