ASM was honoured to host a courtesy visit from BRIN delegates on 5 March 2024 to discuss the potential collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>In the discussion, both parties shared insights on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.malaysia.gov.my\/portal\/content\/30923\">Science, Technology, and Innovation<\/a> (STI) policies and endowment funds dedicated to research and development (R&amp;D). The meeting centred around exploring the potential for collaborative R&amp;D between Malaysia and Indonesia, particularly through fund matching with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akademisains.gov.my\/ar21\/malaysia-science-endownment-mse-harnessing-alternative-financing-tools-to-sustainably-power-rd-activities\/\">Malaysia Science Endowment<\/a> (MSE).<\/p>\n<p>Also participated in the discussion are the CEO of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nibm.my\/v6\/\">National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia<\/a> (NIBM), Professor Datuk Wira Dr Raha Abdul Rahim FASc, and the Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nibm.my\/v6\/?page_id=8836\">Malaysia Genome and Vaccine Institute<\/a> (MGVI), Associate Professor Dr Syahrilnizam Abdullah.
