The theme of APEC PPSTI is \u201cEmpowering Innovation and Digitalization for Inclusive, Sustainable, and Resilient Economic Growth\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>APEC PPSTI priorities include addressing challenges and barriers for those with untapped economic potential to participate in the science, technology, innovation, and digital ecosystems, as appropriate, to advance enabling environments for a sustainable and inclusive technological future; and exploring emerging technologies and more broadly STI for the role that they play in supporting sustainable resilience and recovery solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mosti.gov.my\">MOSTI<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.akademisains.gov.my\">ASM<\/a>, Malaysia presented a <a href=\"https:\/\/aimp2.apec.org\/sites\/PDB\/Lists\/Proposals\/DispForm.aspx?ID=3485\">Landscape Study and Benchmarking Workshop<\/a> for the APEC Open Science Alliance, which received tremendous support from the APEC economies. Additionally, Malaysia was the chair for the Building Science Capacity Subgroup, looking into the status updates of projects while discussing policy recommendations and potential topics for future Concept Notes.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_message]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apec.org\/groups\/som-steering-committee-on-economic-and-technical-cooperation\/working-groups\/policy-partnership-on-science-technology-and-innovation\">APEC\u2019s Policy Partnership for Science, Technology and Innovation<\/a> (PPSTI) envisions that the APEC region would achieve innovative economic growth by 2025.
