[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In conjunction with Women in STEM Empowerment (WiSE) 2024<\/a>, ASM, as a strategic partner, organised Workshop Track 1: Women in STEM on 28 May 2024, driven by YSN-ASM<\/a> members.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to explore opportunities for women in STEM, address their challenges, and empower them to thrive in their fields. The esteemed speakers highlighted several critical challenges women face in STEM, such as confidence issues, the lack of mentoring and training, and achieving work-life balance.<\/p>\n

The event also highly emphasised the significance of women in science, noting women’s detail-oriented and persistent nature, which contributes greatly to scientific advancements.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, this workshop underlines the necessity of ensuring women have equal opportunities to men, with both genders playing roles in career and housework to achieve balance. Future programs will promote networking opportunities to enhance career growth and advocate for policies that support work-life balance.<\/p>\n

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants who made this event a success. Your support and active participation are greatly appreciated.
