Congratulations to all the winners of the 2024 YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award<\/a>. Wong Li Wen from Monash University<\/a> has been named the winner and best individual presenter. Her team, which included Wan Shakira Rodzlan Hasani from Universiti Sains Malaysia<\/a> and Siti Nur Fathiah Kamarulazam from Universiti Malaya<\/a>, presented their project titled “Revolutionising Diabetic Monitoring: A Natural Hydrogel Patch for Highly Efficient and Painless Glucose Sensing.” This innovative project also won them the Best Research Idea and Best Poster Award.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The first runner-up was awarded to Pershaanaa A\/P K. Manogran from Universiti Malaya, and the second runner-up was to Mohamed Afiq Hidayat Zailani from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The prize-giving ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Minister of MOSTI<\/a>, YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof Apdal<\/a>. In his closing speech, he emphasised the crucial role of young scientists in Malaysia, noting that about 30 per cent of the nation\u2019s researchers are young scientists, underscoring their importance in unlocking new frontiers of innovation. He also called for initiatives like the YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award to be further empowered to prepare future researchers for advancing our STIE ecosystem.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
