On 8 October 2024, ASM in collaboration with the Institute for Development Studies (IDS Sabah)<\/a>, held a Regional Stakeholder Engagement (RSE) that brought together key stakeholders across the region to share insights on shaping both the Science Outlook<\/a> 2025 (SO2025) and 10-10 Malaysia Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy<\/a> (10-10 MySTIE 2.0) studies.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The SO2025 study will look at Sabah\u2019s STIE ecosystem performance through economic, societal and environmental impact, whereas 10-10 MySTIE Transformation Book 2.0 will look at new socioeconomic and technological areas for Sabah.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The engagement was officiated by the CEO of IDS Sabah, Datuk Ramzah Dambul<\/a>, who set the tone for discussions for the event. It was followed by scene-setting presentations by ASM CEO Puan Hazami Habib and a representative from Permanent Secretary Office KSTI Tuan Mohd Jayreh Jaya<\/a> on the status of the national and Sabah\u2019s STIE ecosystem, respectively.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The breakout discussions of the event were led by Professor Dr Shahrina Md Nordin FASc<\/a> and Professor Dr Mahendhiran Nair FASc<\/a>, the respective Chairperson of the SO2025 studies and 10-10 MySTIE 2.0 to address Sabah\u2019s unique challenges while laying the groundwork for a robust and dynamic STIE ecosystem that will propel the state\u2019s socio-economic development.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
