The meeting, held on 7-8 October 2024, gathered IAP Board Members and the IAP Advisory Committee from various academies worldwide. Welcoming them are ASM President, <a href=\"https:\/\/tropicalsciencefoundation.org\/tropsc2024\/bio\/academician-datuk-dr-tengku-mohd-azzman-shariffadeen-fasc\/\">Academician Datuk Dr Tengku Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen FASc<\/a> and ASM CEO Puan Hazami Habib.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">In his welcoming speech, the ASM President stated that the multilateral relationships enabled through the IAP offer huge opportunities for further advancement, given that ASM\u2019s primary mandate is also focused on policy advice and strategic intervention. The ASM CEO also emphasised ASM&#8217;s role as a Thought Leader in Science, Technology, Innovation, and Education (STIE) for the nation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">ASM has been a member of the IAP since 1997. Currently, three ASM Senior Fellows and two ASM Fellows are actively involved in the IAP.
