ASM extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr Nur Liyana Mohammed Yusof, Dr Pershaanaa K. Manogran, and Dr Ruth Naomi Manuel on their selection to represent Malaysia at the 75th<\/sup> Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, held in Lindau, Germany, from 28 June to 3 July 2026.<\/p>\n

The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting is one of the world\u2019s leading gatherings for young scientists. This year\u2019s meeting brought together more than 600 young researchers and around 75 Nobel Laureates, providing a rare opportunity for participants to learn directly from some of the world\u2019s most distinguished scientists. This special interdisciplinary anniversary edition focuses on the themes of Resilience, Information, Integrity and Life<\/em>, reflecting the increasingly interconnected nature of today\u2019s scientific challenges.<\/p>\n

The three Malaysian participants come from different research backgrounds. Dr Nur Liyana Mohammed Yusof<\/a> from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM<\/a>), whose research focuses on cardiovascular health and improving recovery following heart attacks; Dr Pershaanaa K. Manogran<\/a> from Universiti Malaya (UM<\/a>), who specialises in advanced materials for next-generation energy storage; and Dr Ruth Naomi Manuel<\/a> from UM\u2019s Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences<\/a>, whose research explores the links between obesity, gut health, environmental factors and brain function. Their participation highlights the strength and diversity of Malaysia\u2019s emerging scientific talent.<\/p>\n

Beyond the opportunity to engage directly with Nobel Laureates, the meeting offers a unique platform for young researchers to exchange ideas, build international collaborations and gain new perspectives that can enrich their research and professional development. Activities include Laureate Lectures, Science Walks, workshops and networking sessions designed to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and global partnerships.<\/p>\n

As Malaysia\u2019s official nominating body to the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting since 2004, ASM<\/a> remains committed to supporting the development of future scientific leaders. Over the years, 92 Malaysian scientists<\/strong> have participated in the programme through ASM nominations, contributing to Malaysia\u2019s growing presence in the international scientific community.<\/p>\n

ASM is proud to support these outstanding young scientists as they represent the nation on the global stage.
