FAIT 2025: Linking Sports, Sensors and STEM
September 18, 2025The first cycle of the STI100³ Programme for this year began on 7 July and ran nationwide until 11 September 2025. ASM is once again honoured to contribute its expertise through the involvement of scientists from the Young Scientists Network (YSN-ASM).
On 15 August 2025, five YSN-ASM members participated in the programme: Dr Steven Lim, Dr Amirah Abd Rahman, Associate Professor Ts Dr Aslina Baharum, Dr Nur Aizati Athirah, and Dr Ng Siew Kit. These young scientists carried out STEM activities at the following five selected schools:
- SMJK Yu Hua, Kajang
- SK (L) Methodist ACS, Klang
- SMK Methodist ACS, Klang
- SMK Kubang Kerian, Kelantan
- SJKC Chung Hwa, Penang
Throughout the programme, various activities were conducted, including STEM knowledge-sharing sessions, science demonstrations, and interactive engaging activities.
The STI100³ initiative is aligned with the aspiration of the Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who envisions the involvement of 100 scientists and 100 schools within 100 days, with the aim of strengthening the culture of science, technology, and innovation (STI) within the community.
