The Merdeka Webinar organized by Akademi Sains Malaysia, aims to explore the transformative potential of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Economy (STIE) in realizing the vision of a Madani Malaysia or SCRIPT (Sustainability, Care & Compassion, Respect, Innovation, Prosperity, and Trust). With the objective of fostering a cohesive and inclusive society, the webinar delves into the critical roles that STIE fields play in driving sustainable development, technological inclusivity, economic growth, and social impact; driving from the post-merdeka initiatives which should serve as a valuable lesson.
With the insight that establishing robust national STI capacities and capabilities is crucial, this webinar also aims to pave the way for designing the right direction, strengthening partnerships, and building a healthy ecosystem conducive to STIE advancement. Additionally, nurturing national talent and expediting STIE outputs will be key focal points addressed during the webinar.
