14th General Assembly: Blue Economy: Unlocking the Value of Our Oceans

Oceans and seas cover approximately 71% of the Earth’s surface. They represent a new economic perspective-the Blue Economy, that is largely driven by a growing demand for new and sustainable sources of food, jobs and economic opportunities from marine and ocean resources.

The 14^th General Assembly on 29 August 2022 discussed Blue Economy: Unlocking the Value of Our Oceans. In order to fully realise the potential of Malaysia’s Blue Economy, it is important for the public & private sectors and communities to facilitate the development of collaborative and creative platforms. In turn, this cooperation would generate a better return of valur (ROV) from the ocean and marine resources.
