THE PATH TOWARDS A BETTER TROPICS WITH SCIENCE
MSAF is a firm supporter of the involvement of youth in science, particularly for the betterment of quality of life in the nations they reside in. Thus, MSAF in collaboration with ASM organised the Global Essay Competition. The competition intends to capture the thoughts of young people on how they viewed the tropics and how science can improve life in the tropics.
Objectives:
-
Increase awareness and understanding of youth regarding the role of science in developing tropical areas.
-
Encourage discussion among youth about the benefits and challenges of living in the tropics.
-
Expand the demographics that benefit from the activities of the MSAF and its partners.
In the future, follow-up events after competition can help to upskill participants. Academician Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak FASc offered to organise writing workshops with the IIUM English Department.
