The ASM ArtScience™ Prize Trophy Design Competition is organised to find the best design for the Prize’s trophy that will be awarded to the winner of the ASM ArtScience™ Prize winner. The ASM ArtScience™ Prize is one of the programmes under the ASM ArtScience™ Initiative to recognise talents and appreciate projects or ArtScience works that embody the union of art and science. This Prize is the first-ever to be established in Malaysia in response to the emergence of an artist-scientist community.
The ASM ArtScience™ Prize Trophy Design Competition aims to invite talent to propose ideas on the design of the trophy incorporating 3D-printing technology. The winner of the Competition will attain a great profile via the ArtScience™ Prize. The shortlisted contestants will be invited to attend a series of FREE workshops to produce trophy designs that embody the amalgamation of arts and sciences. The winning designer will work with our partner to fabricate the trophy by incorporating 3D-printing techniques with other materials. By combining the state-of-the-art 3D-printing and aesthetical value of the ArtScience™ design, the trophy is expected to be a unique reflection of the union of arts and science.
