In 2016, under the MegaScience project, ASM undertook a foresight study of the Creative Industry towards 2050. Many insights from industry actors were obtained, including the role and impact of the existing Dasar Industri Kreatif Negara. Exploring future directions, a panel of five influential figures from Malaysia’s creative industry discussed this crucial subject.
Mega Science 3.0 – Creative Industry Sector outlined key issues facing Malaysia’s creative industry, including governance challenges, technology adoption, and global market competitiveness.
Recommendations focused on establishing a centralised promotional body, enhancing talent development, and aligning with global technological trends through strategic initiatives across short, medium, and long-term roadmaps.
