The NSC STEMCAMP officially commenced on 17 September 2024, bringing together 20 teams from across the country. The first day began with a briefing session led by Professor Ir Dr Aduwati Sali FASc, Chair of the NSC Organising Committee. The excitement continued with engaging ice-breaking activities designed to help the semi-finalists bond. In the evening, the participants attended two informative talk sessions.
The first is on ethics by YSN-ASM member, Dr Manraj Singh, who covered ethical principles in science and digital technology relevant to building their prototypes and future innovations in higher education and careers.
The second talk, delivered by another YSN-ASM member, ChM Dr Shahrul Nizam Ahmad, focused on science communication. He emphasised the importance of effective communication in influencing audiences, understanding their needs, and speaking clearly. The day concluded with a prototype discussion session, where teams began to formulate their initial ideas and plans for their prototypes.
