The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation Malaysia has launched the Karnival Sains MOSTI to increase the public’s awareness of the importance of science, technology, and innovation (STI) in everyday life.
This year, Johor was selected as the location to launch Karnival Sains MOSTI in view of its contributions to STI and economic growth. Several projects of note in this state are Iskandar Malaysia, East Coast Economic Region, and the Johor Innovation Valley.
Karnival Sains MOSTI was officiated by YAB Menteri Besar Johor, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi. The science carnival carried the theme “Merakyatkan Sains, Menginsankan Teknologi” to highlight scientific and technological innovations to the public as well as oncouraging more youths to take up STI.
The day-long carnival featured many activities including interactive 4IR-based exhibitions, space explorations, as well as drones and robotics display.
