Selected young Malaysian scientists at the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings held at Germany between 26 June – 1 July 2022.
ASM sent six young Malaysian scientists to attend the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, held at Germany from 26 June 2022 to 1 July 2022. This year’s meeting focused on the field of Chemistry featuring 35 Nobel Laureates. It was a platform for the young scientists to interact with Nobel Laureates and their peers. Throughout the meeting, the Nobel Laureates shared about their research, professional development, and had exchange sessions with the participants from all over the globe.
Outcomes
- Numerous activities gathered participants to reach out to the Nobel Laureates.

The participants came back inspired and with a clearer view of their research fields.

The meeting’s open and relaxed atmosphere allowed participants to be more connected and share their work with like-minded scientist.
Past participants found that the Lindau Meetings to be a remarkable experience that enabled them to share and exchanged views with peers from similar background. This positive feedback has fuelled the desire of more young scientists to follow in their footsteps and apply for the programme. The Lindau Council is also constantly working towards an effective organisation of the programme.
