We extend heartfelt congratulations to Academician Professor Emerita Datuk Dr Asma Ismail FASc on her appointment as the 2024 ASM Senior Fellow, announced at the 29th ASM Annual General Meeting. Her appointment recognises her outstanding achievements and contributions to education and STIE policy for the nation.
With her latest appointment, ASM now counts 29 Senior Fellows spanning various disciplines, each bringing invaluable leadership and expertise to navigate and advance initiatives to strengthen the nation’s STIE ecosystem.
Senior Fellows are recognised for exceptional leadership in multiple ASM committees, contributing to flagship studies, governmental reports, and strategic foresight. They hold roles in the ASM Council, represent ASM at events, and contribute through impactful writings, workshops, and initiatives. Recognition includes career achievements, merit awards, civil honours, and appointments to scientific or professional bodies. Late career accomplishments before retirement are also considered for late-age entry.
