Malaysia Strengthens STI Cooperation at APEC PPSTI

Malaysia, through ASM, continued strengthening regional cooperation in science, technology, and innovation at the APEC Policy Partnership for Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI) Meeting, held 19-21 August 2026 in Dalian, China.

Representing ASM, Secretary General Professor ChM Dr Noorsaadah Abd Rahman FASc and PPSTI Vice Chair Puan Hazami Habib FASc helped advance Malaysia’s engagement in the APEC Open Science Alliance Framework (APECOSA), Mission-Oriented Innovation Policy (MOIP), and regional discussions on fostering a competitive open innovation ecosystem.

These efforts contribute to a more connected, resilient, and outcome-driven STI ecosystem across APEC, strengthening collaboration and enabling science, technology and innovation to address shared regional challenges.
