In conjunction with Minggu Sains Negara Keluarga Malaysia (MSNKM) 2022, the Academy of Sciences Malaysia as one of its implementing agencies has organised a Science and Art@Home program on 26 November 2022. The program was held to encourage students to explore science subjects from home as well as establish a science learning culture at home. The programme also aims to allow participants to link art with science using appropriate science experiment kits.
A Science Poster Competition was also held to showcase the talents of students in linking arts and science.
Winners of the Science Poster Competition
The Science and Arts @ Home’s Science Poster Competition showcased some outstanding performances from the participants. Aleesya Qaireen Qaisarah binti Samsul Bahri claimed the first-place position. Roohaniah Natasha binti Halim took the second-place position, demonstrating her creative talent and artistic abilities. Meanwhile, Delphine Stevenson claimed the third-place position.
Additionally, several participants received consolation prizes for their remarkable efforts, including Nur Akifa Nayla binti Aliman, Ameer Harraz bin Abdul Hanif, Qisya Irdina binti Abdul Hanif, Muhammad Ziyad Iman bin Mohd Sahrom, Neyha Lakshmii Thanushan, Izz Zayani Asyikin binti Mohd Herman, Manson Tan Boon Sim, and Muhammad Aniq Afkar bin Ishamuddin.
These awards recognize the exceptional talent and dedication of these participants, who have shown remarkable aptitude in combining science and art to create informative and visually appealing posters.
