Leading to TropSc2024, the Mahathir Science Award Foundation organised a webinar titled “Green Skills for Youth in the Tropics: Towards a Sustainable World” on 11 August 2023, in conjunction with International Youth Day.
The webinar was moderated by Ts Habib Ab Mukmin, Principal of Cognitive Horizon Consulting. The invited speakers were Professor Mark Balendres (De La Salle University), Alice Mukashyaka (Starlight), Shaqib Shahril (Nusanterra) and Isaac Ssentumbwe (Climate Justice for Healthy Communities).
In this webinar, young experts in green skills and youth advocates have discussed the importance of a sustainable future and green skills among youth, focusing on various aspects, including green economy and green jobs.
The discussions also touched on how youth can brush up their green skills while exploring green jobs and understanding the importance of nature in our future generations.
