ASM Marks 30 Years at Annual General Meeting

ASM successfully held its 30^th Annual General Meeting, attended by Senior Fellows and Fellows physically and virtually.

Reflecting on ASM’s 30-year journey, Academician Datuk Dr Tengku Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen FASc, in his Presidential Address, emphasised that ASM’s success would not have been possible without the strong support of collaborators across ministries, industries, academia, and the global scientific community. These partnerships have strengthened ASM’s collective impact and reinforced its role as a trusted guide in shaping national policies and strategies.

He also highlighted the importance of ASM spearheading strategic, mission-oriented initiatives that drive national transformative impact. Examples include empowering the National Science Council, advancing the Malaysia Science Endowment, and engaging in on-the-ground initiatives such as the Wireless Bridging System and the Rehabilitation of Gamat Emas projects. He concluded with a forward-looking vision, positioning ASM to lead transformative change through continuous learning, adaptability, and a strong culture of collaboration.

ASM sincerely appreciates the outgoing Honorary Treasurer and Council Members and welcomes the newly appointed Senior Fellows, newly elected Council Members, and 32 newly inducted Fellows. ASM also extends its heartfelt gratitude to all Fellows for their continued dedication and commitment.
