Forum: Igniting Mission-oriented Minds in Young Scientists

On 29 July 2024, a forum titled Igniting Mission-oriented Minds in Young Scientists to empower Malaysia’s next generation of leaders. 

The forum featured three notable Malaysian scientists: Academician Professor Emerita Datuk Dr Asma Ismail FASc (Vice-chancellor of IMU University), Professor Datuk Wira Dr Raha Abdul Rahim FASc (CEO of the National Institute of Biotechnology, NIBM) and Professor Abhimanyu Veerakumarasivam (Provost, Sunway University). 

The forum is a concerted effort to cultivate a new generation of scientists that are technically proficient and mission-driven, visionary and committed to leveraging their expertise for the betterment of society. Through a combination of forum and educational sessions, interactive discussions, brainstorming, and networking opportunities, the programme sought to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and social responsibility among Malaysia’s young scientific community.
