ASM CEO Addresses Open Innovation at Malaysia-France Higher Education Convention

The French Embassy in Malaysia recently organised the Malaysia-France Convention on Higher Education, Research and Innovation. ASM CEO Puan Hazami Habib has been invited as the keynote speaker to share her speech on “Mission-oriented Research: Collaboration Through Open Innovation.”

In her keynote, Puan Hazami highlighted that in facing post-normal times, it is even more important to rethink how research is being designed and developed to overcome unprecedented crises. Therefore, research must be mission-oriented to address the bigger picture and strengthen the open innovation ecosystem. She also added that collaborations & partnerships between both local & global key ecosystem players are vital and must be prioritised in research & decision-making.

The programme aims to showcase ongoing projects and identify the bottlenecks and potential solutions to foster new collaborations between universities and private companies in strategic areas. It also highlights the long-standing relationship between Malaysia & France, especially in matters related to higher education, research and innovation.
