In conjunction with the Malaysia Commercialisation Year Summit 2023, ASM was privileged to have Dr Hitendra Patel, CEO of IXL Centre, a global innovation management consulting firm based in Cambridge, lead the first session of the Innovation Kopitiam. The concept of Innovation Kopitiam serves as a platform to engage stakeholders and catalyse a vibrant STIE ecosystem.
The event began with Puan Hazami Habib, CEO of ASM, briefly discussing the challenges and gaps in Malaysia’s STIE ecosystem. It then continued with Mr Harmender Singh, Vice President, Strategic Planning & SUPER Project Management Office of Cradle, explaining the latest Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2023.
Dr Hitendra emphasised the importance of engaging connections for business growth and reaching larger audiences. Being both interesting and interested is a powerful combination for fostering positive interactions and creating lasting impressions.
He also commended the Innovation Kopitiam as a means for business owners to become good networkers. It provides a space for learning from others, sharing expertise, and building relationships that can lead to potential collaborations, partnerships, and business growth.
