April 15, 2022The YSN-ASM Research Synergy Working Group conducted the YSN-ASM Malaysian Grand Challenge Workshop on 3 March 2022. This workshop was participated by 35 members of the Research Synergy Working Group, led by Professor Ir Dr Denny Ng Kok Sum and Dr Heo Chong Chin.
During the programme, participants strategised and brainstormed on a high-impact projects and will form a proposal based on the priority areas outlined in the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy (NPSTI) and 10-10 MySTIE Framework.
This workshop is important to make the project proposal more constructive and aligned with the current issues and accommodate future needs, especially the priority areas in the STIE ecosystem. Three sub-working teams were established to address the three focus areas:
- Healthy Ageing Society
- Net Zero Emission
- National Genome Hub Innovation
The Research Synergy Working Group will conduct more discussions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements to ensure the project proposal is approved, able to address the priority areas of national R&D and benefit the country. Once it is finalised, this proposal will be submitted to the Strategic Research Fund grant (SRF) under MOSTI.
