Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the Malaysia Open Science Alliance, Working Group on Capacity Building and Awareness are pleased to announce that the ToT Program has officially started on 21 September 2020. The aims of this programme, which is fully funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), are to enable participants to understand the concepts and skills of Open Science and data stewardship, and to equip future data stewards with competencies and expertise in data stewardship for Open Science. Upon completion of the ToT program, the course participants are expected to apply Open Science practices and play the role of data stewards within their organizations. Ultimately, these future data stewards will contribute towards an Open Science ecosystem and the implementation of Malaysia Open Science Platform (MOSP).
On the second day of the ToT Program (22 September 2020), the course participants joined the Welcoming Session and had an interactive ice-breaking and discussions with Professor Dr Abrizah Abdullah, the Chairperson of Malaysia Open Science Alliance Working Group on Capacity Building and Awareness, and Dr Nurzatil Sharleeza Mat Jalaluddin, the Project Manager of MOSP.

On behalf of ASM and MOSP team, we would like to welcome all course participants and we wish you the best in your new journey towards becoming future data stewards in Malaysia.
