June 18, 2022On 10 May 2022, the Academy of Sciences Malaysia signed a collaborative project grant agreement with Global Psytech Sdn Bhd, a company leading psychometric and data analytics solutions under the i-Connect initiative.
Global Psytech Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) will be conducting research, development and commercialisation activities of Predicting Creditworthiness using Multiple Behavioural Data Sources under Fintech in the Islamic Finance sector. This project aims to predict lending risk by using multiple sources of information about borrowers’ behaviours that may assist around 2 million adults in Malaysia (2019), primarily women, gig economy workers, MSMEs, and youths who lack credit information.
ASM in collaboration with the appointed Neutral Entity, INCEIF will be monitoring the project to ensure timely delivery towards better growth in the industry.
