July 28, 2023A show of gratitude goes out to the Secretary-General of MOSTI, the esteemed Datuk Ts Dr Hj Aminuddin Hassim, who inaugurated the National Sensor Technology Forum on 18 July 2023. This event is brought together by ASM and the Malaysian Sensor Technology Development Association (SENSOR Malaysia).
In his opening speech, Datuk Aminuddin underscored the significance of sensor technology in addressing both global and local needs and challenges. This technology plays a pivotal role across various sectors, including healthcare, the advancement of smart cities, water management, food production, agriculture, and environmental conservation.
Datuk Aminuddin also observed the formal signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between SENSOR Malaysia and Biogenes Technologies Sdn Bhd. Subsequently, the forum proceeded into a plenary session featuring presentations from nine experts with specialised knowledge and experience in sensor technology. In the latter part of the forum, a discussion session took place, focusing on the topic “Sensor Technology in Malaysia: Harnessing Strengths, Addressing Weaknesses, and Paving a Dynamic and Competitive Path.”
ASM extends its thanks to collaborative partners, including the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION 2) UPM, IEEE Sensors & Nanotechnology Council Malaysia Joint Chapter, as well as to both physical and online participants for their engagement in this event.
