Professor Emeritus Ir Dr Masjuki recalls one of the main reasons that drove him to become an educator at UM: to be a source of inspiration and empowerment for students, especially the Malays. He wanted his success stories to inspire students, and to show them that it is possible for them to achieve the same stellar results. He considers it a personal satisfaction when he achieved the title of Profesor Khas Gred A in his career, received the Merdeka Award in 2017, and was bestowed the title of Professor Emeritus by DYMM Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah at the 2018 UM Convocation Ceremony. Currently, he actively contributes to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB)s research on the reliability and suitability of high-percentage mixture of biodiesel with regular diesel for use in diesel automotive engine. He is also actively improving and empowering the local community. He was appointed as a committee member of the Kampung Kelang Gate Mosque in religious services by the KDYMM Sultan of Selangor. Through his prominent role at the Mosque, he is able to inject knowledge and inspiration into religious based activities. The specialised sub-fields of Energy, Tribology, Besides that, his involvement with Majlis Bio-fuels & Bio-lubricants, Automobile Engine Profesor Negara (MPN) has allowed him Performance & Emission Monitoring, Lube-oil to extend these activities to states such as Based Condition Monitoring, and Energy Terengganu and Sarawak. Several ministries Efficiency & Policy is where Professor Masjuki's and organisations have engaged with Professor talent in mechanical engineering shines through. Masjuki to seek his knowledge and expertise.
