Professor Ir. Dr. Nor Aishah Saidina Amin is a Professor of Reaction Engineering, Head of the Chemical Reaction Engineering Group (CREG) at the School of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1996. Her expertise is in applied catalysis, reactor design and modelling, and also reaction engineering. She has been working for many years on interdisciplinary research at the interface of photo, plasma science and catalysis for improving sustainability in a circular economy. Significant efforts have been devoted to photo- and plasma-catalysis where the combination of photo- and non-thermal plasma and heterogeneous catalysis has been used as a promising and emerging low-temperature process for conversion of CH4 and CO2. She is also working on the ozonolysis process for conversion of biomass to cellulose-based products and biofuels. She has also keen interest in using COMSOL and VASP in her computational modelling research. She serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Energy Conversion and Management, IOP SciNotes, Catalysts and Bulletin of Chemical Reaction Engineering and Catalysis
