ASM ArtScience™
In recognition of the amalgamation of art and science, the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) has set up the ArtScience™ Initiative.
This Initiative is a programme that recognises outstanding creations in the nation's fields that showcase the fusion of art and science.
The ASM ArtScience™ Programmes
Under the ASM ArtScience™ Initiative, these are the two subprogrammes that will be implemented:
- ASM ArtScience Prize
- ASM ArtScience Engagement Programme
I-CONNECT
i-Connect is an industry-led collaborative network that involves the quadruple helix (industry, research community, government and civil society) for disruptive innovation.
i-Connect aims to facilitate Malaysian industries' leveraging science and technology to develop innovative home-grown products and solutions to pursue new economic opportunities in emerging global markets while nurturing the growth of conducive innovation ecosystems based on collaborative networks.
Malaysia Open Science Platform (MOSP)
The Open Science movement is gaining momentum globally, endorsed by leading international organisations.
Embracing the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles facilitates knowledge democratisation, enhances research integrity, and fosters innovation.
MOSTI launched the Malaysia Open Science Platform (MOSP) Pilot Initiative in 2019, aimed at leveraging open data for national development, facilitated by the Malaysia Open Science Alliance and the Academy of Sciences Malaysia.
