The Academy of Sciences Malaysia congratulates YSN-ASM Member Ir Prof Dr Leong Wai Yie for being selected as the First Runner Up of the 2021 UN Women Malaysia WEPs Awards in the Leadership Commitment Category.
The YSN-ASM Research Synergy Working Group conducted the YSN-ASM Malaysian Grand Challenge Workshop to strategise high-impact projects and form a proposal based on the priority areas outlined in the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy (NPSTI) and 10-10 MySTIE Framework.
The MoU would see the two organisations working in unity to utilise STI in providing solutions in the Land Below the Wind to elevate the socioeconomic status of its rural population.
A well curated science information presented through effective science communication will go a long way to inform and forge behavioural change in society. This will bridge the gap between scientists and public.
The L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Fellowships 2022 organised a virtual forum with the cooperation of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) on 16 May 2022.
The science carnival carried the theme “Merakyatkan Sains, Menginsankan Teknologi” to highlight scientific and technological innovations to the public as well as oncouraging more youths to take up STI.
